PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Winning this case is more important that winning the FA cup or getting top 4.
In what way, fella? Why is it important? I am genuinely interested why you think it's so important (and other people, for that matter).
I can understand if people were getting laid off, because we were relegated. That has a real impact on a normal person's life.
But, as for having any impact on my life or the love of my club, this decision will make absolutely no difference.

Getting pissed off with it now. Is it a good sign it's taking so long or a bad sign.keep changing my mind

Having no comeback for the rest of my life when people tell me that my club cheated for over a decade and unfairly won trophies that other clubs deserved would bother me. I know to some on here that makes me a bad blue or whatever, but I personally don’t like the idea that everything we did was achieved illegally. I would like to not care but that’s just not how I feel.

Fuck United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs, but I would be thinking of Watford for example who we demolished in that FA Cup final.

On rawk they are sure that it taking is a good sign for the PL team - I simply cannot work that logic out

Perhaps I am over-thinking it because they are just thick cunts
what is their reasoning behind that? i don't personally think the length of time gives any sign or reflects better for either party.

Is this verdict going to make any difference to anyone's life, on here?
I follow this thread for entertainment value and pipe up here n there.
But, whether get get found innocent or guilty is going to make absolutely no difference to my life, one little bit. I will still follow City, no matter what.
I will be more disappointed if we get beat on Sunday than I will if we lose this case.
We'll move on, regardless of the decision but I find it hard to believe it won't make a difference to any blues life.

Same. I'm a lifer. I'm here in "Division Two" and the Champions League. I'm not interested, I just want to go to matches. If they relegate us to non-league or some shit then I can't wait to pay £10 a ticket. My support is not predicated on the corporate revenue of Manchester City.
Agreed but the tainting of our achievements would be tough to bear and frankly undeserved

Fair enough fella. I honestly would not care.
Everyone keeps saying the allegations are really serious and it is tantamount to fraud. If that is the case and if we have done it, then did we actually deserve to win anything?
I don't agree with rules that restrict investment. But, there is bending the rules and there is committing fraud.
Now I believe our owners. They have not done or said anything which suggests that we should not believe them. Just because someone accuses you of something, does not mean you did it.
Now, I found a box full of City bits from when I was a kid. A Kippax temporary membership for a game v Blackpool, in the 80's. All my ticket stubs from all the games in Division 2 and loads of other stuff. Looking at it all made me realise that winning games, winning trophies, fancy players or fantastic football are not reasons why I support City. I have absolutely no idea why I support City. My dad is a rag and the easy option for me, growing up in Newton Heath would have been to be a rag. Yet for some unbeknown reason, I became a blue. If you can grow up in Newton Heath during the 80's and 90's, when everyone around you is a rag and they are going through their glory years, without giving a fuck, then I am certainly not going to give a fuck if we lose this case.

Makes a big difference to me. A lifetime of rags rubbing it in that we’ve won nothing, and then when we do win we just cheated our way to it. It would never stop me from loving City, but it would definitely have a big impact on how I view the football club under the current ownership.

Why does it not bother you? Genuinely interested!

On RAWK they all think they're going to be awarded three titles for coming second. That's how high their level of delusion is.
I would imagine that if you are of the persuasion of wanting City to lose the case, the fact that the “irrefutable evidence” did not force the case to be thrown out quickly in favour of City would be seen as a positive for the premier league and not City.

Probably coming to the conclusion that if city were so confident in getting off as they’ve been saying all along then the verdict would have been much quicker. The longer it takes well then it’s not as much of a walk in the park as city expected

It's neither good nor bad. Given the length of time it's taking you could make the case for it favouring us or the PL.

But I agree, this limbo is infuriating now. I'm not really arsed if we're guilty (I believe we're not) at this stage, I just want it announced. It's the not knowing that kills you.
