His pub the Hinds Head, a few doors down, does better food!Thought the Fat Duck was overrated when I went there twenty years ago.
The Hinds Head in Heaton Chapel doesn’t do better food, alas, but does have the kudos of having hosted a Bowie gig in 1970.His pub the Hinds Head, a few doors down, does better food!
Knowing the result is different to having an idea of the result.Really?
It rather depends upon your epistemological parameters.Knowing the result is different to having an idea of the result.

No air pollution in those days or chemical enhanced food. The picture you paint of our blessed chairman emerging like some modern-day Abraham come down from Mt. Sinai like Moses bearing tablets of stone with which to wreak vengeance upon all those tribal twunts in the media and the Red Cartel reminded me of comparative religion studies when I was a schoolboy doing 'O' Levels.
When Abraham was told by God* to sacrifice his first born son in his honour, Abraham was.. wait for it.. you'll never guess.. honest, he was 115 years old! You never know, you may yet get your wish!
Spooky, or what?
(* And I refer the Hon.Gentleman to Dylan's 'Highway 61' too.. 'God said to Abraham, kill me a son/ Abe said Man you must be putting me on?/ God said No! Abe said What?/ God said you can what you want Abe but/ Next time you see me coming you'd better run/ Well Abe said Where do you want this killing done?/ God said Out on Highway 61..'
