The PSR calculation should be made on the same basis for all clubs but Man Utd are sheltering their finance and legal costs offshore. If the PL can include these transactions, which they know about, then they should insists on it otherwise it makes a lottery of the rules.
For months I looked at Chelsea and Man Utd's losses and wondered how they were possibly compatible with PSR and it seems it's because the PL executive is regulating their activity very loosely indeed.
It raises some questions around transparency and consistency, but if the finance and legal costs are connected to shareholder activity, they shouldn't be in the football club's accounts anyway.
