PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Well if the PL are so confident of the clubs guilt, maybe they should have simplified the charges instead of going on the presumption that if they believe one year of accounts aren’t correct the corresponding ones afterwards aren’t either.

Obsessing over Mancini’s pay when it’s laid out in the accounts how much the club pays him. Can he also not do consultancy work at the same time? Is that illegal? Why has no one from the PL asked him for his story on the arrangement?

Then we have player image rights where the club is deemed to have sold them back to themselves. They won’t have a leg to stand on with that if they are waving through hotels and women’s football teams as ok to sell to yourself.

If the Premier League hadn’t tried to throw as much shit at the wall and make it stick, they could have been making a decent go of it with the sponsorships which were deemed fair market value by CAS. The whole delay on this thing is their own making and will be humiliating for them when it reaches its conclusion.

I’m sure they’ll be investigating why the piss can was given a share of a race horse by Raggy Shareholders off the books & £634k prize money & £2.5m in stud rights over a 3 year period.

Can't believe that Pep was expecting it in March. 4 months on, and here we are. I have a sneaky feeling it might be a really late 2025 decision like November time. Getting this won convincingly might just give us the best home atmosphere we'll have ever had. Goosebumps.

& not one journalist asking him about the delay has pushed him….. why did you make so many charges? Who decided to do this? Why did you feel the need to compound all charges & make it 115 rather than concentrating on 2-3 which if found guilty could be revisited on other seasons.
It was a deliberate strategy to damage City. Like charging a driver who had no licence for a year with 365 charges of driving without a licence. There are perhaps five broad allegations. The accounts were said to be false on multiple occasions over a long period. The PL split the charges to make it look worse and they briefed the Times before telling City. One senior Labour Peer close to the case called it “a drive-by shooting by the PL.” This is what we have been dealing with. Masters needs to be held accountable.

He likes to mention there’s a rule book for clubs to follow, non of them pressed him on the fact that the rule book was illegal between 2021 to 2024. The amendments to make sure the rules were compliant with English law didn’t go far enough to do that but they still went through with a vote to bring in rules which weren’t deemed legal, even when one club told them not to vote on them.

He should have lost his job for that fiasco but is still there delivering the state of the nation address on the eve of another Premier League season. Hopefully this will be his last and will probably be driving the Post Office into the ground this time next year as their new ceo.
Don’t forget that the APT case statement revealed that Masters ignored his own lawyers’ advice when he pressed ahead with the unlawful rule changes. A mistake that has cost his organisation many millions of pounds already….and could get worse with more action pending.

Still can't figure out how they can put a numbskull like masters in charge of the pl

If we're cleared I hope the club sue Simon Jordan into poverty.

He's again spouting untruths and accusing the club of using our wealth to change the rules for our benefit.

That's going to be his narrative should we win.

The PL have damaged our reputation regardless with the claims and we should do them and the cartel as well.

It’s amazing really. Masters had no appropriate experience before he got the role. The most stupid thing he has said was about tweaking the wording of the APT rules after they had been deemed illegal. He didn’t understand that having illegal rules operating for three years could leave the PL open to action from other impacted parties. He said it was just a technicality in his press statement. He’s a total moron.
