PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I wonder if, in part, the time taken is because the people making the decision know their verdict will be read by many more people than ever before?

The last thing they would want is their verdict being torn apart by their peers. You would want every “i” dotted.
Absolutely and considering the status people involved in the accused party every T crossed

I don’t think there is anything going on behind the scenes. I can’t see why there would be.

Very possibly, but then my other option was that nobody knew what they were talking about when everybody said it should be sorted out in the summer. I am OK with either :)

rumours are the panel in the meantime had been selected in other legal cases which will limit their time allocated to this bullshit case.it could be international break in September if 2028 next time we hear anything.

:)
Good points.
To the back of the pile it goes after all we ie the Panel decide what is legal or not.

I remember my long ago days in the sub contract engineering industry where end of month invoices ruled turnover and of course profit / loss. Pre computer days a job card collected productive hours (IE ones for invoice) whereas non productive hours were a drain on profit.

Needless to say among all the WIP cards was a dump card that collected non productive hours masquerading as productive which never got invoiced so was rarely found.

I feel our case is the legal equivalent of a dump card. For heavens sake don't take it out of WIP but use it to book any otherwise non productive hours.

Accountants would peruse the many cards in WIP looking for this dummy card invented for the works manager and his foremen to hide slack hours.

Just imagine when we are found with no case to answer, but Lord Pannick et al are later found guilty of inflating their invoices and being creative with their expenses.......

It takes the time it takes because that is how long it takes to do the job properly.

Come on, KCs, you know what you need to do: follow the evidence and find in favour of City on every single point.
No it stinks to high heaven. Any process in law that takes this long should be seriously examined and held up to ridicule. But when it involves a sports club the fact that it has been going on longer than the war in Ukraine means that a deliberate attempt has been made to damage the reputation of the accused party, independent of the substance of the charges.
This charade beginning to end has been a thundering disgrace and I am calling for the immediate publication of the findings. For god sake Enough is Enough.
