If it's true that Sane didn't have to be included in the full squad, (as he could have been included as an under 21 player) couldn't Yaya have taken that place?
Is this just a question of Pep, yet again, ruthlessly using an opportunity to show, "it's his way or the highway" and that past reputations will count for nothing in the future?
