This is my understanding but I can't find conclusive proof that he obtained his work permit in January 2015.

I posted a picture of the official notification of his registration somewhere on here, probably about a year ago. It was January 8th I think so he must have been given a work permit that week.

So if Kelechi doesn't qualify who drops out? Possibly Kelechi himself? that would not go down well with the player.

Kelechi can go on the B-list in January and he should become club trained under UEFA rules the following January. Jesus will take his place in the A-list squad.
