PL player arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment *do not name names*

Could it be an "old friend" of one of our players.From some of the clues on here,this player has been dropped from both his club and country ... assuming its him ... especially with Tolmie saying its closer to home.
I may be a million miles away.

i heard on here yesterday, and someone else had heard the same rumour about the same player , if it isn't the player mentioned, then why was his name brought up ?

I don't know, but if it was the young player referred to on here, I'm pretty sure it would have been headlined as "England star" not Premier League star.

Why was it ok for Ched Evans and Hudson-Odoi to be dragged through the mud when they did nothing wrong but not this guy then?

I can only assume a gagging order has been obtained. Can anyone confirm it has otherwise it is weird that he is not named

It's legal guidance not to name suspects before any charges I believe.

If it’s close to home then I can only think of one player dropped from the squad on Sunday unless it’s someone out injured.

It would be nice to get clarity on if it’s a City player or not tbh.

I agree I’ve only heard the one name myself and it’s not a City player.

Yep my red mate said he knew about this on Monday and apparently the arrest happened last Friday. No idea if true but that is what he said.

As @PannickAtTheDisco says they named Hudson Odoi and he was totally innocent so it seems strange they won't name him now. The alleged incident happened 'last month' so that would give lawyers time to get a court order.
