Just been confirmed that goalkeeper Danilo initially survived the crash but has died in hospital. An awful tragedy.

Injured/suspended players left behind. Can't imagine how they feel right now.

Id imagine the players who were not on the trip are in a right state - a mix of emotions ranging from grief to gratefulness,and,maybe,even guilt.

Unfortunately there's a local connection. The aircraft was an Avro RJ85 manufactured at Woodford in 1999.

yes mate it was and i worked there at the time it was built, probably been on it countless times during its manufacture
