So we are now only 13 days from the fixtures being released and it got me thinking. How do we want to greet our Champoins when the return to the playing field.

What ideas do you lot have.

A sea of blue and white singing Blue Moon.

Bring out the Champions being sung 'the old style song' from the 60's

Our now famous Na Na Na Na NA Cityyyyyyy

Once again I dare say we will come up with a cracking idea for the lads to walk out to, but whatever it is, it has to be a deafening level of noise, not only to show our support but to again put the fear of god into visiting teams.
Remember we are still on an amazing run at home and we want it to carry on.

Ideas anyone :)

The question below has bothered me for a while to be honest.

Do some Blues actually think we've only recently started singing this?

Ditto we have been singing this for as long as i can remember!!

Tin hat on, but I think we've probably had enough opportunities to enjoy this in an 'official' capacity now, and I suspect the lads will want the first game to be treated the same as any other. It's the start of a new season and they've got a job to be getting on with. I doubt they'd appreciate the distraction.

Obviously, we as supporters can do whatever we want, but I'm not convinced the club should be organising anything again. The only important thing is securing 3 points. In that sense, the sooner we get back to normal, the better.
dude thats a fail, i will definetly be giving them a good reception! our fans arent that fickle anymore...

only on last days of the season, after the media have being throwing everything to ruin it for us, refs suddenly remembering how not to ref....teams rolling over......

I think you misread or misunderstood what I was trying to say.

Of course the fans will greet the team in the right way; I just think the club should stay out of it. We don't need any gimmicks to be dreamt up behind the scenes; just good old-fashioned support.

You said it yourself........

"it has to be a deafening level of noise, not only to show our support but to again put the fear of god into visiting teams. Remember we are still on an amazing run at home and we want it to carry on"

Doesn't need anything else. Let's get down to the serious business of successfully defending our crown.

Lets welcome the Champions of the league at the start of the season, no doubt...

No need for Badly Drawn Boy in the middle of the pitch singing depressive songs though, we can just cheer in our own way... so flags/scarf waving, ticker tape, inflateables, all that stuff bring it on if you want :)

This is how I've usually acknowledged the start of the season anyway, be it prem champions or newbies of division poo

What about a load of ticker tape...if you start cutting now it should be immense by the start of the season.
Ha Ha not a chance, fingers are still sore, thats for special occasions such as maybe the Champs Lge Semi Final, but we will wait and see. I agree with one of the replies I wouldn't expect the club to arrange anything It was just a thought as we seem to have come up with some great ideas the last couple of seasons.

-- Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:40 pm --

It hasn't been sang on the same level as at the Derby for 30 years and it just seems to be a song all fans love to sing together for a change, maybe because they can remember the words even drunk :)

in the seventies at maine road.. we used to sing bring on the champions every game.. we need a huge aguero banner.

...Goooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa kun aguero song.

Do you mean the one the Argentine commentator sang after he scored? "na na na na/ na na na na/ he-ey/ kun aguero"
I was saying the other day we should adopt that one, hope we do.

No crap about Utd or little digs, this is about OUR club, ignore that lot
