Platini concocting another anti City rule? 9+9

Even if this was brought in tomorrow it would be no big deal for City... If it does come in there will be plenty of notice and you buy and sell accordingly.

this^^
even if it was passed today there would likely be 3 seasons notice, then another couple of years while apeals are heard etc, minimum it could be enforced for would be around 2016/17 by that time we would be up and running with our development of the kids. 'lost again platini hard luck'

Yes but what if Barry, Milner & Richards also just happened to be injured or suspended at the same time? I think the problem with it is that clubs will need to have much bigger squads to cope with an injury crisis. It just makes team selection very inflexible.

They'll probably bring it in, find that a CL SF or Final is spoiled because one of the clubs has a few injuiries and ends up with 5 kids on the bench, or has to drop a couple of star players and replace them with journeymen, and then ditch it.

The old rule in the 90's requiring minimum numbers of home born players was supposedly ditched because of legal issues, but it was becoming increasingly obvious that clubs were fielding stronger sides in their domestic competitions than in the CL, somethig that the tv companies and sponsors did not like.

But I agree that City do not have any more need to worry about it than any other club.

this has got to be against all the rules of employment, it is bordering on racism, how do they give such amatuers the power to ruin the beautiful game.

there's a nasty whiff of hypocrisy about rummenigge's comments too. he's all in favour of ffpr because it won't impact on bayern but the 9+9 proposals would so he goes off on one bleating it's not fair.

only one question that i would put to twatini......

where were you for the last 50 years+????????

considering the great real madrid team with puskas.... every galatico team since then has been of that standard(paid by franco or government to keep the 10 million+ people of madrid happy). we can match them now.....and its unfair on eveyrone else???? how many euro cups have real madrid bought over the years? why was it okay then, and not now as its too unfair?????

the way i see it, alot of the clubs need to be taken down from their perch. if a club cant compete it is a shame. these clubs are some people communities.... but i don t care whether it was real or accrington that fall. clubs must look after fans too it s like a marriage.

if a club folds it should sue fifa for 50+ years of negligence ..... although that too is illegal! :)
