there isn't one is there.

How could any one person or comittee say how the market decides on a value?

It would be more socialist testing.

Please leave semantics out of it and try to explain the testing.

Might be useful for the club to make a statement on the effect of these proposals on their plans

Better still the Club carries on making its plans without being drawn into a debate. Let the newspapers and others talk of what 'might' happen while the Club just carries on working out a strategy.

I'd rather be in City's position than that occupied by United - the Blues are on the up and have the acumen to work out a sustainable strategy.

Platini used to be a very good footballer. How exactly that qualifies him to be in charge of an organisation as complex as UEFA is beyond me. Essentially he spent 15 or so years kicking a bag of air around so, obviously, that means his ideas on economic policy and fiscal responsibility should be listened to. Platini is woefully underqualified for a position such as his, I don't think you should have to have played football at the highest level in order to run it. UEFA should bring in top businessmen/financiers to run the organisation, you know, someone with an idea what they're doing.

It may surprise some early posters but I suggest they check on the debts accumulated at Fulham in the recently published figures I was gobsmacked no wonder the boss sold Harrods.

I see this purely as the Platini cronies like the scum over the road tryingto safe guard their futures Its only human nature to resist change and WE ARE COMING in the next six years for sure so I suggest the Frog accepts it.

Even Taggart seems to see it and we long to chase him back over Hadrians Wall very soon

Platini isn't some pie in the sky twat out to destroy Man City. He's doing his job, and trying to represent the majority opinion of football fans.

Whether we like it or not, 90% of fans are in favour of this.

Platini's job is pretty much to sit in swanky meeting rooms all day eating cheese, so he thinks he needs to justify his existence by coming up with stupid ideas.

"So.."
"So..."
"..."
"Hmm"
"..."
"How about we make it illegal for goalies to wear socks?"
"Yeah, that'll do"

Mainly because they don't grasp the full ramifications. The "living within your means" rules he is proposing would, forever, close the doors on top level achievement to 99% of football teams. If you've got relatively small gate receipts, fanbase and income streams you're screwed. You won't be able to buy players of any real quality as the transfer fees will be out of your reach, and the wages will be preventative too. The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, United, Liverpool etc will, in the long run, remain at the top, just how Platini wants it.

Exactly. He is effectively trying to create a cartel at the top of football. These rules would be fair and a good idea only if the TV revenue generated at the top level was more evenly spread around to make up for the economic disparities between the various European leagues. The way it is now will lock the smaller/financially weaker nations and smaller clubs in the big leagues out of any hope of achieving success at the top levels of the game. How can any rule based on turnover possibly be fair when the average fan in a country like Russia can probably only afford to pay £100 for a season ticket whereas English clubs can charge over a £1000?

Exactly Matty, totally correct.Platini has also mentioned city on numerous occasions regarding this issue not to mention being disrespectful to our owner by saying "he wasnt sure if he had met him yet"as if he would forget,so whoever thinks this isnt aimed at city is very wrong,he would never have pushed this through had his beloved juventus been bought by Sheikh Mansour.
this isnt just about city either, its about other clubs and other fans who all have the same dream we had of being able to mix it with the best.sadly this rule will kill that dream.it is totally to maintain the status quo, whoever thinks otherwise is seriously delusional.
