Sorry if this has already been mentioned but I really hope Ireland beat the twisting T**T

disgusting... politics is rife in the game,, blatter and platini, will be well cheesed of if the russians portugese and french dont qualify... But to decide to seed teams within the last 2 wks of the campaign is a sham... Ireland will give the french a real test and may even go onto qualify,, lets hope its the case and platini can sit in africa next summer plotting the premierships downfall, rather than cheering on henry and co!!!!

Never happen first there was Fergie time now there will be Platini time - would not surprise me if ROI did not get a fookin decision over the two games - would love to see them (The French) out if not just for Shay but also Dunne still have a huge amount of respect for him and still one of our best and most loyal players we have ever had.

Are you having a laugh?

Ireland are like Hull last year, great start under Gio but very soon (Maybe even against France) our bubble will pop and we will see how dire our squad is, horrible football (Yes I know it doesn't matter what football we play if we win/are un-beaten) etc etc.

Sure Platini and co. aren't doing us and many other countries like us favours but the bottom line is, Irish football isn't looking up imo.

I'm sorry for being negative but I don't see anything more then a loss coming our way.

Would you stop being so bloody negative, (and that coming from me says a lot seeing as I'm a pretty negative person)
We've never been a decent team, not really. Not for a long time. We've a team that will try harder then any other team out there, that's what we've always had, passion and fight and pride, and it usually has us punching well above our weight.
It's just about getting out the result, it doesn't matter a damn how we play once we get there. The last WC was amazing back in 02, I'd love that time again.
I hope we can qualify, I wont hold my breath, but I'd love it.

You've told me I'm negative when I said I'm sorry beforehand,
Told me it doesn't matter what football we play when I said it beforehand,

Of course I'm hoping, I'm Irish!
I'm not really a negative person either but tbh..

Irish hearts are going to be broken, not French.

France despite their "superstars" are shite.

If the sweaties can take 4 points off them then Eire can do the same. I can see them winning that.

France are a team that you wouldn't put a penny on. Never has a team blown more hot and then frozen solid in consecutive matches. All is not lost for the Emerald Isle.

But the greatest scandal of this World Cup is the corruption in its administration. Blather and Platters want a spectacle that allows the 'developing' football world a seat at the top table, but North Korea, New Zealand and the like don't sell tickets. France, Russia and their like do. They have to make the money to fund their lavish Zurich lifestyles, their political hobbyhorses, and random battering of English football. The pair of them have less integrity than your average Swiss bank.

Not doing any favours? It's downright corruption and cheating. To invite teams into a competition and then to change the rules part way through it is a disgrace and I am really surprised there has been no fall out over this.
