I don't know what is more embarrassing; the petition or TMQ admitting he watches Neighbours.

It's a close call.

I haven't watched neigbours since Madge & Bouncer left.

It was Bronwyn going that cut me deepest.

-- Fri Jul 02, 2010 3:28 pm --

You had your chance and blew it. It's time for the Quinnster to roll into Ramsey Street and become Karl and Susan's son-in-law. Deal with it.
Hehe - I prefer Susan these days anyway.

Seems to be a few complaints about Platt slagging off our team in the past. Would this be the team that hasn't won anything for decades, that was in the third division, that regularly struggled to stay in the top flight and often didn't. That regularly promised little and failed to deliver even that much?

He had every right to slag the team off.

There are good reasons for taking him on board - decisions made by people who are aware of his previous comments and support. Things from the past should be left there - I seem to remember a certain goalkeeper becoming something of a popular figure despite the long service given to a club not too far down the road. And a certain manager we had not long ago - he wasn't too popular doing his previous job as forward for the same club.

Give the guy a chance.

He is a prick though.

I've always quite fancied Susan to be honest but at this point in time I'm happy to trade her in for Libby.

Masturbating to the assorted women of Ramsey Street 1987-present is an Englishman's birthright and I intend to do just that.

I don't want him here either and I'm probably wrong but City might have released the news between the signings to cushion the blow. However, mancini obviously wants him and I doubt there is anything we can do. So maybe we should let the City staff do their jobs......... I can't believe I've just said that !

PMSL. Always used to knock one out before tea after school all thanks to the talentless talent that show serves up. I'm hearing ya!

I'd be suspicious if you hadn't!

While I respect anyone teasing out to Libby, who has always been worthy of the effort, I seem to remember a bird called Bronwen being the best. Think that blonde tosser who released a few bad records was humping her in Neighbours. Anyway, in answer to the original post, being from Chadderton is not this pricks problem, as yours truly was once too. Being a mecon looking gobshite with the worlds biggest forehead is.

after my inital reaction to the news yesterday, i've had time to reflect and in the cold light of day can look at this appointment more rationally. yes I don't like the bloke, but then I din't particularly like Hughes when he was at united, but I was prepared to give him a chance like most other City fans, and now its time to do the same with Platt. we must back our managers judgement that Platt will do his best to help coach the squad and make us the best team in the league. Its in his own interest to make us succesful as if he fails he will be sacked. we will only be able to optimise our challenge at the top if everone is working to their maximum and pulling in the same direction!

Wasn't Platt, Bobby Mancs preferred choice as Ass. Manager last December, before the club promoted Kidd.
Think he was.
So just bringing in people he feels comfortable with really.
They were obviously close at Sampdoria.
Every Manager likes his inner circle that he trusts.
Makes you wonder if the writings on the wall for Kidd though.

As for Platt not being popular round these parts.
Quite right.
But let's not cut our nose off to spite our face.

If it helps bring success to the football club, that's OK with me.
