Play Balotelli against Tottenham

Bunch of twats with no memory shitting their crap opinions all over this thread.
"Don't break up a winning team"???? Aguerro did fuck all against Bolton. 2 Goals in his debut and you're swinging on his nuts! Against Swansea, ffs! He missed two sitters against Bolton, and if it had been Milner or Balo 20+ page thread would be shouting, OUT!

Didn't Balotelli get two goals before receiving a red card for allegedly kicking an opponent in his first game last season?

Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy
De Jong, Barry
Johnson, Silva, Milner
Balotelli

subs- Aguerro, Dzeko, Kolorov, Zabaleta, Nasri, Savic, Pantil.....whatshisname

I love Balo but he doesn't deserve to start this one.

Bring him on from the bench if circumstances allow and start him when an injury/tiredness or loss of form dictates.

His link up play was great, goal wrongly disallowed and Balotelli was rank in his first game and last game for us.Wolves away and rags Charity Shield.
I like Balotelli but he is the most frustrating player i have watched. He has to bring in consistency into his play to match his skills.Worse than a man short on his off days in which there are a lot of.
For anyone that thinks Dzeko should make way for Balotelli as well must surely be on the wind up.

How can you say he was rank in the Charity Shield? Vidic clearly had him marked and manhandled him continuously. Rank! They saw him as a threat and put their best on him, don't underestimate that.

*Not a WUM, Balo deserves a regular season match. I believe he will score more than Dzeko this season. Give him a game and he will come good, besides, there are options to come on from the bench.

Yea I agree, he will be hungry after sitting out the last two matches and like the training reports have said he looks really focused in training.

Thank fuck that football teams are run by professionals and not picked in this manner.

"I've got a feeling he will want to prove himself, despite his last performance (and many others over the last year) saying totally the opposite, drop some players who have been outstanding for him"

FFS!

Again, another example of fanboys getting caught up in the Balotelli persona.

Does anyone really think that you would see a similar thread about Milner, Barry, Savic, Clichy, Kolarov, etc?

Of course you wouldn't, because even though those players have shown during their time here that they are much, much, much more likely to be professional and 'desperate to prove themselves' when out of the team, they wouldn't receive such sentiments as they haven't got legions of fanboys desperate for their hero badboy to prove their nonsense about him being the best player in the world and 'entertain' them by acting the big man.

Couldn't agree more.

Balotelli has become something of a cult figure among a section of our support but when you look at his performances as a whole he doesn't deserve to be suddenly brought back into the side in place of on-form forwards.

Other than glimpses of talent and skill we have seen very few 90 minute strong performances. Often his contribution amounts to little more than getting booked and sulking before eventually being substituted before he gets himself sent off. Games pass him by while he battles with himself, opponents, officials and team-mates.

Yes he's scored a few goals but more often than not they have been in comfortable wins and non-pressurised situations. I was pleasantly surprised by his efforts in the FA Cup last season but he has to prove himself capable of that concentration on a regular basis. He has to wait for his chance like any other player.

Your not a wum yet your squad doesnt even have Yaya in it. Your playing Balotelli up front on his own. Milner is playing wide. Dezko and Aguero on the bench yet Johnson plays, etc, etc.

Mancini won't pick players on form too often, he will pick them on whoever is suitable to play against the specific opposition.
For example, dropping tippy tappy adam johnson who played well against swansea, for Milner who put an absolute shift against bolton. Same for clichy and kolorov, which would have been made even if clichy was 100%, bolton woul dhave knocked balls up towards clichy all day for kevin davies to easily win.
Clichy will play to deal with lennons pace, dzeko to trouble kaboul and dawson, silva and yaya to walk through their midfield which looked poor last night, milner again (in my opinon) to help out richards with bale and asou ekotto who is good going forward. which leaves aguero to do his thing, who will be replaced by tevez. depending on the score, milner will come off for balotelli.
simple!
