Played for City but never should have

Cole did a decent job for City tbf in a very ordinary team. Was a rag though (somewhere between Schmeichel and Tevez on the rag spectrum)!
His great years were at Newcastle, had spells with the rags when he couldn't hit a cows arse with a shovel. Not universally loved by rag fans,OT just a stop on journey man's career

He's not a bona fide legend but was at United for 6 years, scored 100+ goals, won 5 titles and the treble...probably similar standing to Sterling/Mahrez/Dzeko for us.

Where to start

Rodney Marsh - flash cockney who Mal loved but cocked up a likely title winning team

McIlroy - why?

Bobby Shinton - bloody awful

Terry Park - won a comp to play for us I think

Bill Williams - see above

Mark Ward - an odious little ****

Robert Hopkins - legend in his own mind

Ged Brennan - absolute tripe

Buster Phillips - stature of an anorexic

Barry Conlon - looked like a Bus Conductor

Martyn Margetson - arguably the worst City keeper I've ever seen, and I saw John Burridge & Barry Siddall

Christian Negouai - If we'd had a volleyball team he'd have been ideal

Simon Colosimo - like an extra from Neighbours who wandered into our training ground

And a side nomination of should never have been
manager to Alan Ball and Mark Hughes.

Peter Bodak (rag and he fucked up Bobby Macs career)
Beardsley
Andrew Cole
Peter Bodak… we played a pre season friendly at Rhyl, he was playing, the only one on the team sheet I had ever heard of.
He wasn’t good
Ever.
We lost 3-0
Other than the football it was a good day out..

I am pal.
But the point I’m trying (and failing ) to get across is players that just not did feel right in a city shirt. Not whether we’re any good or not.
Lampard played well for us. But it didn’t sit well with me.
Fowler scored v United but I will never see him as a City player.
Schmeichel had the game of his life at Anfield but he will never be a blue.
We flocked to see Trevor Francis but he never had no affinity towards City.
But maurizio gaudino is welcome at my table anytime.

I’ll go to bed now
Bet Maurizio drives to your house in a taxed and insured car!!
