Lescott has done well but Kompany remains head and shoulders above the rest. He's a class act.

Totally agree, the most consistent player is Kompany. Lescott and De Jong an equal second.

Looking at those results: just look how many clean sheets we kept, and look at the teams we conceded against. We conceded 2 goals in Ukraine and we conceded 2 goals at Chelsea.

But the thing is he is actually right. Yes, this has probably been Lescott's best month in a City shirt and big credit to him. Having said that, Kompany has been playing at the same level this month as the rest of the season. A level that Lescott have not reached and probably never will.

Why is it negative that I think it is appalling that Lescott leads Kompany? i don't see how this is possible. Based on their performance, Kompany has been better, in 4 of the 6 games, nondescript in one, and they were both about equal in another. So how does that guy end up not being the better player over the month?
