Maradona, Messi, Pele and all the greats who never played for us obviously,
Deyna, Weah, Bernabia and all the greats who did play for us but were past their peak obviously.
The players we couldn't afford like Van Buyten or who we sold on the way up like Denis Law obviously.
The young players especially Paul Lake who we never saw reach their potential through injury obviously.
BUT ... the man who played for us for years is the one I always think, what if?
Yes King Colin, 29 but still improving when he was injured was the one. He could have played another 5 or 6 years,
We would have won the title in 1977 with him in the team and could quite possibly have been the dominant team in Europe
in place of Liverpool. If he'd stayed fit Allison wouldn't have returned and our past may have been very, very different.
