Valencia are challenging for a Champions League spot and Zuculini must of decided that would be the right club to get accustomed to life in Europe rather than be in a relegation scrap with Depor. A combination of poor attitude, Valencia having better and more experience midfielders has made this move a complete waste of time.

These loans are often sink or swim.

Its bad news that he has not had significant game time. I am sure the club will do all it can to get him in to the right team to develop but if we have signed him over for the full season without any option to recall him then there is nothing we can do. You would hope we have some options and he would be keen to get a move somewhere to play as his career will go one way or the other from this point onwards.

I'm pretty sure FI's assessment is closer to the truth unfortunately mate.

If he had chosen Valencia for the right reasons and the move was going as horrendously as it is, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be buzzing his tits off jumping up and down cheering his mates on every week. He should be devastated. People sometimes note how miserable footballers look when they're sat on the bench but that's not always a bad thing because it shows they went to play - BZ is the other end of the spectrum. Doesn't care. We plucked him from relative obscurity and gave him his big chance but he seems perfectly happy to waste it as long as he can have a laugh with his mates

Re: Zuculini?

Some of you need to get a grip. Let the kid enjoy himself. The loan deal didn't work out coz he hasn't gotten playing time. His time will come. Let him be happy.

It was obvious he wasn't going to get playing time before he went.....its that fact that is grinding on people.

'let him enjoy himself'?? wtf? i'd agree if he was getting game time but he has pretty much wasted the past 6 months of his development by sitting on the bench,we loan players in order that they come back better players for the benefit of Manchester City, not so the individual can get an extended jolly up with his pals.He needs to return here asap and a new club, where he works hard......can be found.

This whole episode has been very bizarre.

Bollocks, if you are a young footballer there is only one acceptable option: to work your arse off trying to make a name for yourself. At the age of 21 this time in his career is crucial in determining whether he can make a name for himself in Europe and world football, or whether domestic football in argentina is his limit.

It does seem from the outside that he doesn't seem bothered about the whole situation, which is surprising because the club supposedly do all this research into a player's attitude and personality, and if they found this was his character then I doubt they would have bothered signing him (they had doubts in pushing through the deal too). Strange.

Re: Zuculini?

'Let him be happy'. Haha fucking hell. City effectively paying some kid 30-60k a week to go on holiday with his mates for a year and we're supposed to 'let him be happy'.

So why are the club not cancelling his loan and bringing him back ? Its not just his fault, the club have allowed this error to carry on.

Not as bizarre as his post. I thought perhaps it was a joke, but I'm not convinced..

Re: Zuculini?

He genuinely would of played more if he'd stayed here, that's how big a waste of time the loan has been. The thing that's annoying is that you could see that this would happen. Anyone who took one look at Valencia's squad could of told you that he wouldn't be a regular starter.

Re: Zuculini?

The thing I don't get is we're hearing that his loan was cut short and he will go elsewhere so why is he still at Valencia and not back here?
