Dzeko, 29, signed a new four year contract earlier this season but is still not guaranteed a first team place at City.

That has alerted Juventus who regard Dzeko as their No1 striker target this summer.

put him in the right system with players next to him to work mainly for him and he will score 20+ goals easily.....so tbh it's not good we should be looking at getting at least 20M....it's another thing the number of clubs ready to spend big on his wages because that will be the main block about getting rid of him

Why do people keep saying this? That's also true of Darren Bent and Bradley Wright Phillips.

The quality of a striker is determined by their ability to score goals when the entire team isn't built around them, not to score goals when it is.

Added to this, he has played under numerous systems at City in his 5 seasons here and never broke 20 league goals despite playing over 30 league games a season

Besides which, if we are to build a side around one striker, that striker has to be Aguero; not that I am in favour of building a side around an individual. We need to develop a way of playing that is about how the team plays as a unit and minimises reliance on the best players.

The equivalent of 20m+ in pounds should be the aim if we're selling him in Euros. 15m would be a joke and we'd have done very poor business for a proven goalscorer who's coming back in to form.

Txiki got £25m for Negredo and £13m for Rodwell. Lets just say that I think he'd probably get more than £15m for a striker that has four years on his deal and no particular desire to leave or for us to move him on

Not really, if we get offered 25 million Euros that's about £18 million at the moment where last summer it would have been just over £20 mill. His value to a european team hasn't changed just the exchange rate. That said changing the fees to sterling does confuse the issue, where in reality I expect the club would have a Euro bank account and would have fees paid to us remain in Euros so that any conversion becomes irrelevant.
I would also expect the club to have moved some sterling into euros when it was 1.42 to the pound in readiness for the summer.
