Lot of times he just shuts off the danger at the edge of the box. Last season a lot of times we would have conceded from those situations. Great bit of business that someone costing only 12 million slots right into our starting XI (maybe even after Fernandinho is fit) while others are signing people for 30+ to get into their teams.

Great reading of the game from the lad.

Some people seem to think the fee for Fernando was so low because of his 3rd party ownership and with the expectation that the fee for Mangala would be higher in order to help them make some more money back.

We just seem to buy round pegs for round holes who seem to do the job better than their predecessors and improve the team, if Mangala is of a similar ilk to Fernando just slots in seemlessly and improves the defence it will be looking good.

Great performance today. Very much a defensive midfielder but exactly what we need. His covering and reading of the game saved us on several occasions. I hope he maintains this level against the better sides.

Looks an absolute unit in the flesh. Obviously looks after himself and is very genetically blessed.
