Putting him in a midfield 2 with Milner - Shocker. What on earth does everyone expect? He is the defensive base of a 3 man midfield at best and should only ever be used as such.

You can dress it up all you want mate, whether he can play in a midfield 2 our 3 or 4! Fact of the matter is the guy can't pass a ball 5 yards to a team mate. This is what makes him shit.

And I'm not making my judgement on tonight where I fully appreciate it was a terrible selection. I'm talking about in general. Poor player

He is awful. We bought him to play defensive midfield, he hasn't got a clue in a midfield two. Fernandinho is in a different class to him.

To be fair putting him with milner was a gaff by pellers,he is not being played in the position he is good in

Doesn't matter what position you play him he should still be able to pass a ball, he panics when he has possession and just hoofs it, look at the first half when he passé it back and Suarez got on it. At least Garcia was comfortable on the ball, this guys like a rabbit in headlights

He had a higher pass completion rate than anyone else on the entire pitch. If you're going to criticise him, at least make it about something that actually happened.
