He wouldn't be getting anywhere near the starting 11 now anyway and he knew he wouldn't

Ironically he probably would have had a chance in the middle with us this season.
 
Stop caring about him the moment he left. I don't wish any ill will on him, but I don't wish him any good luck either. He's like Liverpool, irrelevant.
 
Liked him......don't like or dislike him now.
Very strange decision going to liverpool other than the signing on fee.Good luck to him.
Brought off today to make way for caulker to go upfront?

I suspect an awful lot was to do with game time and his England future. the move to Loserpool should get him time on the pitch that should get him in the England squad - a City none of that was assured. He's made a bomb and with us got some medals so I suspect England caps and those won at a tournament were at his age seen as a crowning glory on his career - don't blame the bloke.
