My four year old daughters favourite player with "Zabba"on the back of his shirt.

The dj started playing the conga at her birthday party recently. She took the microphone and started singing "der der derrr pablo zabaletta" . The non footballing people had no idea what she was on about!!! Fucking classic.

I know we all like a home grown talent to come through the club and have players who support City playing for us. But IMO it means a lot more when a foreign player comes here and becomes an adopted blue. You only have to watch Zabba's reaction to Van Pussie's goal in the derby last year to see how much of a blue he truly is. I reckon that Zab is the type of man who when retired will still look out for our results and make the odd appearance to the Etihad.

Then you look at his talent. He is not one of them players blessed with blistering pace or a muscular frame. Zab is in the Neville mould of full back, who's hard work and determination outshines his lack of physicality. Fans always take to players who give 100% effort every week. I also think a lot of people underrate Zab's footballing ability, he is very good technically and because he isn't the quickest player playing in the position when he will come up against the fastest players, he has a superb reading of the game. Also because he game does not rely on his physical strengths then he could more than likely play well into his late 30s like Zanneti.

The reason us fans rate his so highly is because he is a fans player. Gives his all, model pro, quiet off the pitch, loves the club, makes the most out of his talent. I'm glad that the media and other fans are giving his the praise he deserves because there are not too many better right backs in world football at defending than our Zab. Also Maicon is the prime example of a 'World class' full back who rely's on attacking and pace rather than defending.

the best full back in the premier league last season , but after watching pre season games , micah has looked impressive , and zabs had a nightmare against bayern and didnt look match fit , but zabs no doubt will be raring to go against the geordies . If micah did reclaim right back , i think zabs would be a great holding midfield player ,and he is the type of player who just doesnt know how to give less than 100%.
