Fantastic finish for his goal, I didn't appreciate it at the time, but for me it was better than Yayas which was a brilliant individual goal, but Nasri's was a team goal, started by Costel, wonderful team goal, and a great finish.

I don't think Pants has had enough love for starting that move. Great vision, brilliant pass, and sublime control from Sergio.
Well played Pants, you might look like Miranda but you'll do for me.

Agree that it was excellent work by Pants and Sergio; plus a good run from Aleks. Nasri's finish was superb but Yaya's goal almost beggars belief.

Anyhow, 2 of the best minutes of football that I have enjoyed.

Re: Samir Nasri

Another assist from Kolarov

Always looked the most likely source for a City goal in the 1st half with his crosses being the sole City threat

Nasri's strike is something else. Celebrated Nasri's goal a lot more as that took us into a winning position

Nasri is a player with a lot of chip on his shoulder due to his recent decisions in terms of joining the club and he definitely plays like it and is always keen to put his face at the forefront of everything when the team achieves notable success e.g winning a cup. So expect to see Nasri's face everywhere when we win anything. Almost like '' eat this haters!!!!!, in your face!!''

This is besides the point though. I have always said that Nasri has a leadership role, an important role at Manchester city and it is delightful to see that he is finally stepping up and taking up the challenge. I remember an incident with the French national team where a sit was reserved for one of the senior players as part of the house rules in the team. But Nasri was like screw that, I sit where I want and so he sat on his team mate sit and there was a lot of holla balu, or is it holu bulu, or hogla ballum, you get my point but Nasri was not phased by it. I believed this happened when he was much younger as well.

The point I am making is that he has the make up of a someone that a team can rely upon to lead by his performance on the pitch. He has a resilient, almost rebellious character and is not afraid to face off with anybody. Last season was disappointing but this season he has shown signs of being a key player and leader for city for the future and hopefully he continues to step up and become the kind of player I always thought he was.

Thierry Henry was the aforementioned player.

Love Kolarocket's reaction.

Re: Samir Nasri

Yesterday was nasri's redemption after last years cup final performance. Really pleased for him as he was outstanding.

Re: Samir Nasri

When I first saw it on TV I thought it was Zaba and went crazy! Reason being against the rags in the 3-2 last year that goal Zaba scored he struck in a similar way.

When I saw it was Nasri though I just applauded, been class this year.

Re: Samir Nasri

Was right behind the goal for all 3 and had to do a double take for both Nasri's and Yaya's goals, unbelievable and totally silenced the rowdy Sunderland fans a few rows away from me who had been giving it loads up until those special few minutes.. I just looked at them and smiled, that's all that was required.. ;-)

Re: Samir Nasri

The brilliant thing is how much he cares. In fact how much they all care. My wife (who didn't know Man City from a hole in the wall when we wed - now she's a major fan, as if she has any choice, lol) said "they look like one happy team".

Re: Samir Nasri

I used to think he had a massive sulky attitude and a mile wide ego about very little in the way of results. This season however he's by far been one of our best players, couldn't be more happy with him in sky blue and the best part has been the fact he seems far more grounded and less sulky. He's working hard, seems to be enjoying himself and staying out of trouble and the media for the most part.
