Re: Samir Nasri

Statement by FFF
The FFF condems insulting remarks against Didier Deschamps and fully supports the coach in his approach
The unanimous feedback confirmed that the whole of France condemed such remarks
FFF believes that the unanimous indignation is enough to condemn such behaviour

Blimey

Look at this postgame interview. Every answer is just excellent. And he says on missing the world cup: ‘Yeah, it wasn’t supposed to be like that, but that’s life! It’s good for my club! I’ll rest all summer, go on holidays, and come back fresh for next season.’ Awesome attitude. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

If France doesn't want to get behind him then we will make up for it! Love having him here!

Also for anyone who didn't see the Al Ain friendly, check out his pass he made! Oooft!

Thanks for the vid. Brilliant pass.

Nasri must have had a personal falling out with the deschamp. I dun buy the unhappy to be a sub explanation. He seems keen to go to brazil. Besides, if he performs well in a friendly pre WC game, there is a good chance he can make the starting line up. But he wasn't even given that chance.

Re: Samir Nasri

Spot the two guys in utd shirts in the video.
I would never go to watch that lot.
If they were playing in my back garden I'd close the curtains.

Crazy decision not to select him. Has Deschamps justified or explained his thinking?
e

He said that Nasri doesn't like being a squad player. He gets upset when on the bench and doesn't play that well when he gets the chance to play.

I think Nasri handled the snub in a professional manner but his girlfriend did him or MCFC no favors when she made those remarks on twitter.
Fuck France.

Re: Samir Nasri

Annoying part about all this is that Nasri's reaction has been very mature. He said it was hard to accept but respects the coach's decision, and he seemed ready to just move on and get ready for next year.. but now this crap, and once again he has headaches. Not to mention the FFF will use this as an excuse to keep him away from national team for good. It all seems quite unfair. Nasri has made mistakes in past, but I think he has really matured recently and would only get better without distractions.

His girlfriend was just showing loyalty and anger because she knew it meant a lot to him. Stupid word choice, though, and she should have taken a note from him on how to just let it go. But suing over a 'f*ck you' on Twitter? Wow.. don't you have more important things to worry about!?!?

I don't think she's being sued. I think it's just a formal complaint to the courts. No other legal action will likely follow.

As you say, Nasri's reaction has been very measured. It's his girlfriend who said it! And you can't control what your girlfriend (or boyfriend) texts on Twitter in the heat of the moment. And yet somehow he seems to be being blamed for it. Really pisses me off. He's a good lad, and he's going to get better and better for us. Is already starting to take some of the weight off Silva for advanced midfield responsibility and I'd like to see more of that next season.
