Re: Nasri return

When in form Nasri is an artist

Brilliant at keeping the ball. Approaching the form he showed last season before he was assaulted by some geordie ****

He's there already IMO, easily. Just think of the teams we've beaten recently and the sort of pressure we were under to win them.

It absolutely baffles me that some Blues still don't rate the lad. He's a special player, and not only that he's one of our hardest workers. If you look over our very best spells of form over recent seasons they almost all coincide with Samir playing at his best. Players earn their stripes through form and have to be selected on that. For me, Nasri's very close to joining a select group of players here who must always play if fit. The others being Aguero, Silva, Kompany, Zabaleta, Toure and Hart. Milner isn't far off that either. Our strongest XI now has to include both of them.

Spot on, every word.

I used to have a Nasri test to see whether someone had a clue or not. Seems like I'm going to have to replace it with the Mangala test ;).

I have one for Pellegrini. ;)

Re: Nasri return

Just needs to add a few goals. He has shown that he has a shot on him but hasn't scored in the prem all season.

Performances have been good last few weeks though.

Re: Nasri return

Loads of blues seem to underrate him and take him for granted. Yes, he's not at Silva's level, but who is? The fact is if we got rid of him we'd struggle to find a like for like player for cheaper than 50 million to replace him

He's not that far behind Silva! For me Silva is the most underrated player in the prem and one of the most underrated players in world football but.... Amongst city fans it is Nasri who is underrated - criminally underrated by some! He oozes quality and now he is fit and confident he is adding a directness to his brilliant passing and truly incredible ball retention !

Re: Nasri return

He is up there alongside Merlin as our best creative players.

Re: Nasri return

The performances that he has put in after coming back from injury, he has comfortably been a level above Silva in terms of the last few games. What a player he is, he has now learnt how to get stuck in and long may his run of form continue.
