What's Samir Nasri's best position?

Personally, I would say in a centre midfield trio. He was right midfield at Anfield.

I get the impression he's a talented player who's often shoehorned into the side.

Trash talking surrender monkey, yet to put together a good argument, underwhelming luxury who flatters then deceives con sistantly, needs to go.

Very aloof, likes to do his own thing. Not disciplined on the field. Slows our play down to snails pace. Very predictable. Below his station to track back or undertake any defensive duties with any purpose. In a nutshell not suited to the team.

This thread is a massive over reaction, as is the forum at times. When he is on form, he is brilliant and I have come to like him a lot, at least he's honest in his assessments. But his style of play isn't suitable for every game and situation, when it's going wrong for the team he looks really bad.

I think I want to agree but I'm not convinced. How many big games has he had for us? How often has he managed to put a sustained run of good games together? The jury is still out for me and it's been out for a long time now and that is why I'm not convinced!

He doesn't work hard enough without the ball and I'm afraid you can't afford that when you already have Silva and Toure in Midfield who don't either so he's a luxury we can't afford I'd have Milner every day of the week instead

I can understand the frustration he is probably the most frustrating footballer I have ever seen. He goes through a period of games where he is untouchable, truly world class and then when you think he has finally hit form he just goes missing for a run of games and contributes nothing to the team at all. He's such an enigma.

Didn't play tonight and to honest i was glad .
Because he was one of our worst players on Sunday .
At the moment he's gone back his old ways of not being arsed

I think he sometimes struggles to get involved, for whatever reason, but I think it a tad unfair to say he CBA.
