Saw a stat during the game, had city's top speed (was around 55th minute) had Sagna 3rd at 33kmh, navas 2nd at 34 kph and kolarov top at 35kmh. I thought it was a typo. Kolarocket.

He has been in fine form since the winning streak began. It's incredible how some of our players turn things around the season after finishing second

I think he's always been overly criticised but Sterling has helped him to go up a level and his presence suits him down to a tee.

His goals and assists, from both set pieces and open play, will be huge this season.

I recall a very fluent contributor to blue moon denigrating him a couple of seasons ago - when he was still playing pretty well - by saying that all he could do was kick the ball very hard.
I wouldn't swap him at the moment for any other full back. More power to the man.

Has anyone else noticed that when City score Kolarov is usually one of the only ones to celebrate straight away along with Silva, seems like he genuinely cares. And the combination with Sterling is going to destroy so many RB's this season.

Against Chelsea I was so impressed with the running power of Kolarov on and off the ball as he surged down the left flank to continually overlap for Sterling. It was a key aspect to the game, and we saw similar at Everton with Sterling and Kolarov linking again.

If you watch Kolarov's goal he starts in his own penalty area and sprints the entire length of the pitch.

Kolarov has always had this in is game, but the link with Sterling has enhanced his game.

There are a few things that are different between this season and last eg the commitment of players like Kompany which is total, but in terms of playing style, then the single biggest difference is the running power of Kolarov which has been decisive in two of traditionally the most awkward fixtures for MCFC.

Well Done Aleks!

With a little help from his mate, Sterling. But yes, very well done to Aleks.

Kolarov needs a run of games. He is poor when he is in and out of the side. We have seen it before. Keep playing him and we will see the best of him.

Been fantastic recently and this is down to signing Sterling.

Similar to how on the right we have had either Milner or Navas helping track back as helped Zabaleta and more recently Sagna who also has looked good.

Either way glad we have kept Alex
