Player Topic: Aleks Kolarov 2015/16

I said it at the beginning of November, but because I made a spelling mistake my opinion didn't count. The guy is not up to standard. Never has been. A weak link who exposes our left sided CB time and time again.

That was actually his problem yesterday. He got himself in some great positions to cross but his delivery was poor all game.
He was our best defender but that's faint praise to say the least.
 
Great start to the season, been utter guff since Everton match....his performance away at GladBach was appalling. If the guy can't add something with his crossing and he rarely has this season then it does not make up for his slowness at the back...Neville spotted after about 2 minutes last night that Liverpool were targeting him as a weak link, like most other teams we play. Like him but unfortunately, not good enough.

I'm with you on this. Teams target him, which puts whoever is playing LCB at a massive disadvantage. His crossing is overrated because he has one mode: Smash the ball. It takes exceptional players like sergio and silva to make something out of it, because they are that good.
He should have gone with barry as their pace hindered the team for a long time, kolarov still is.

He has one goal and one assist in 13
Games. He is an illusionist. People see that he puts crosses in and therfore think that we have to put up with his wank defending for this benefit but for the most part he just hits it as hard as he can.

His defending is atrocious. Even in Seville where we were great, they targeted him and he hardly stopped one cross from coming in. Luckily the CB's bailed him out time and time again.
