In my opinion today David Silva is the best footballer in the world there is nobody I enjoy watching more.

1. Fine by me, although I'm not sure why you're continuing to debate if you're that uninterested.

2. Iniesta has been nominated, shortlisted for, and even won virtually every individual accolade in football. I think the generalisation is fairly accurate.

3. Undoubtedly Spain have had brilliant players, and Silva himself was one. But that Iniesta and Xavi partnership is legendary, whether it be for Barca or Spain. It is widely regarded, by people who know their football, that Iniesta is the delectable cherry on the top of that very perfect Spanish cake.

much as i appreciate your self proclaimed position as spokesman for the football fraternity , it is just your personal opinion , i treat your giggs comments with disdain , because proclaiming the family shagger is a world class player on a bluemoon forum is inappropiate , you can go on rag cafe , united we wank or our own united thread , to stick your tongue up the preverbial manyoo arse.

You cannot judge David Silvas career at 28 years old against a player who has virtually finished career , and i think you will find a football player will be judged as world class on his ability not the longevity of a career , if the sister in law shagger was such a great player , why didnt madrid or barca sign him from their feeder club ? I love Spanish Dave and he is a great player

But Iniesta is on a different planet to Silva and I would swap them right now given the chance

Not sure where Giggs comes into this conversation, he was a very good player but no where near the top bracket, even the rags new he couldn't cross a decent ball

Played well on Saturday, but he needs to stop worrying about other players in better positions when he has the chance to shoot himself

The reason he doesn't get any accolades is purely because he doesn't score enough goals, but some people won't realise how good he is until he is missing for a few weeks

However, I can never get my head around the amount of goals he seems to score for Spain

For City he's the main creative player but the successful Spain team of 2008-2012 had Iniesta, Fabregas and Xavi as well as Silva so if three of those were playing one would be given licence to make forward runs and get on the end of passes rather than supplying them.

It's not necessarily a bad thing - his first instinct around the box is to see if a teammate is in a better position. Take the third goal at Hull - he weaved his way across the edge of the area and at the point where some players would think about a shot he sees Dzeko making the run and plays him in. How often do you see players shoot and fail to score when a teammate is unmarked?

1. Giggs was undoubtedly a world-class player.

2. He simply isn't considered as good as Iniesta, you only need to read the perspective of the foreign media to see that.

3. The idea that (arguably) the world's best ever club and country sides being built predominantly around Iniesta's genius doesn't reflect his ability is bizarre.

3. i think you will find barca and spain were built around several world class players ,neither were a one man team , and iniesta only reached his level of performance because of the outstanding world class players along side him. Casillas, ramos , pique ,puyol , busquets , alonso , xavi , pedro , villa etc etc and yet you state the the team revolved around iniesta , now that is really bizarre.

Apart from being an appalling thing to say, I'm not sure why you're engaging in a debate with someone whose opinion you don't value.
