I appreciate him. He's a lock-picking spellbinding genius. Also, he glides with ball. It almost looks as if the bastard is playing the game on ice.

What a fantastic player David 'Merlin' Silva is.

As others have said, he makes us tick; he is the heartbeat of our team and once again , his introduction changed the game.

A truely wonderful footballer, whom I fell extremely privileged to watch every time Manchester City plays at home.

+ + + 1 to the previous 3/4 posters - David Silva is one of the greatest players I have seen, ( and I'm by no means young).

So much of what he does goes unseen until you play it back and watch closely, he is involved in nearly all of the build-up when we attack.

He also appears to be such a modest and nice guy, an excellent ambassador for the club.

I'm a friend of his best friend. I'm just a longstanding City fan like you. I'm privileged to make his acquaintance & privileged to watch him play for my team.
I'm obviously slightly biased but I think he's the best ever for City & totally underrated by a lot of fans & most of the media.
Love him to bits. 100% genuine on & off the pitch. Try 1 game just watching him & him only, I did it Villa away this season. Unbelievable.

I read Manuel's comments that Merlin doesn't get the recognition that his wonderful talents deserve.

I can accept that he is never going to get any European accolades because he doesn't play for the 'right' club, but it does grate that he will seemingly always be overlooked as the best player in his own competition.

It's astonishing that his skills aren't recognised. Week in and week out he stands out like no other player in the league.

I'm a 100% convinced that when we win the PL and the CL none of our players or the manager, nor the team would get a nomination, let alone win any award. Would it bother me? Not if we win silverware that actually matters and we can leave the Holywood-scenes for what they're worth.
