6 weeks to heal from a sprain?
It was a pretty nasty looking injury to be fair. I was very nervous it would be much longer than even 6 weeks when it happened. The guy basically scissored his lower leg while his foot was planted.

Somebody on here had a similar rant after the fact, but this pic epitomises everything I hate about international football. That pic is the equivalent of a 70's Reliant Robin rear ending a Ferrari 250 GTO.

I'm sure clogger is a lovely lad but he doesnt belong on the same field as Spanish Dave.

Thiago is quality and would have him at City pronto. But for me it's Isco who has what it takes to fill Silva's shoes.

Isco is very good but his ball retention is no where near as good as Silva's (or Thiago's) which is one of the main areas David shines. He has on more the one ocassion dragged us through matches by simply refusing to allow double– or triple–teaming defensive tactics to lead to loss of possession (which in many cases was nothing short of miraculous; that pivotal game against Everton and the 6-1 win against Stretford immediately coming to mind). That, as much as his creativity, is now and will be in the future sorely missed.

i got a sprain playing footy 6 weeks ago, still hurts every morning but walking is now fine. got another 6 weeks out i reckon. Difference is im not a super fit footballer with top of the range facilities!

my point is, 'sprain' covers a very wide range of injury, from slight aggrevation and over-stretching of ligaments to a grade 3 sprain (what i have) which is actual ligament tearing. i partially tore two ligaments in my ankle (out of 6? i think) and that borders grade 2 and 3. it's amazing but it's still a sprain!

The game that stands out for me was Hull away, when VK was sent off early on.

Merlin controlled that match single-handedly and scored an absolute belter.

Yes, much overlooked, but one of the most important games in that title season. The boys dug deep that day and MDM was quite brilliant orchestrating the offside line.
