Player Topic: David Silva (2015/16)

I obviously don't like any of our star players missing games through injury. But I have to say that, when I hear Silva is not playing like yesterday, there is an extra sense of disappointment for me over any other City player. It's not just the loss to the team but the fact that I enjoy watching him play so much and weave his magic on the pitch. Long may he continue and I dread the day when he plays his last game for us.

Bollocks with respect!!

I hope as a club we declare him "unfit" until after the next International break on 9th October 2015, and 11th October 2015.

Otherwise we'll get him just about fit and they will just send him back broken again.

Give the lad a few weeks off to get well and un-injured!!

I hate International football.

I have to agree with you on this. I dread each time we send our players away on international duty.

The amount of times other clubs get their player(s) to feign injury before internationals.

I noticed on Saturday that whenever the ball went wide, everyone would stand still and wait to see what the full back and wingers were going to do. David rarely ever stands still.

Can't wait to see Silva and de Bruyne play together.
 
I share the sentiment re: the players going off on international duty and coming back crocked. But in Silva's case, I think he will be eager to play for the NT. He's about 5 games short of 100 caps for Spain.
 
The injury he picked up for Spain really pissed me off.
Bosque left him on the the pitch for most of the second half even though it was clear that he had an ankle injury.
I hope Txiki laid down the law to Bosque - fucking scandalous in my opinion.
