I don't understand why we brought him off the bench before the internationals. It opened up the possibility of this happening. Should have left him out completely, like with Silva etc.

Exactly. Why are the club not managing things cleverly? Once he made an appearance he was available for his country.

Yes, I have. He's had a decent season and apart from the away game in Germany, he's even been good in Europe.

I think this is now out 12th hamstring injury of the season. Serious questions need to be asked about this. Why on Earth did we ring him on against Villa just before an international break? Another two weeks rest/rehabilitation training would have been ideal for a player just coming back from injury.

How predictable. FD is clearly a 'sick note' in the same mould as Jovetic and Rodwell - I feel sorry for him, but the club must come first. Let's not make the same mistake and hold on for three season's before acting. Hopefully, Sunderland will come in for him.

Or it could all just be a terrible coincidence for him... He wasn't rushed back early this time, he had a weeks training behind him before being involved in the first team and he was gradually introduced with two substitute appearances. We were all saying how him playing during the internationals would be beneficial to us in terms of getting him ready to start a game. It's just terrible luck for the guy.
