Our player most likely to make a World XI. Is there a better DM out there?

I think Vidal is a superb player. but so is Fernandinho.

What a damn shame he's 30. If he was only 25 we'd have this lad for years to come. A cracking player.

In the last 12 months he's been our best player away at Bayern, at home to Roma, away to Roma, at home to Arsenal, away at Barca, away at Chelsea, away at United, at home to Juve (and i've not even thought of the non-big games he's been our best player in).

When Pellers says that we didn't deserve to lose last night I think it's players like Fernandinho who don't deserve to lose. He did everything bar score to give us the three points.

I agree with the comments.....I think its Fern's best start to a season since he's arrived and clearly best player on the pitch last night! Just a shame the rest of the team couldnt do their bit to help!

He's started the season absolutely on fire, energy, tackling, passing, driving forward with and without the ball, goals, he's brought everything you'd want from a central midfielder. If he can keep this up we'll have a very good season indeed. Even last night, mired down in a sea of mediocrity, turgid passing and poor performances, he was the best player on the pitch and had our closest chance to score.

Is it mental to suggest that he's our best player? Just throwing it out there to see what people think? It always seems unfair on the less glamorous players that only those who create and score all the goals can be considered the best. Does Fernandinho do his job to a lesser quality than what Silva does his? I think not! Dinho is absolutely critical to our success this season, along with Silva. Our engine, our driving force, our only player that has a CL standard of pressing, our only midfielder that consistently wins the ball, practically every counter attack starts with him (and we were ONLY threatening from counter attacks last night), he's a leader, an inspiration, our top scorer, he's in everything good that we do, he must have a pass success percentage that's as good as Yaya, he always keeps the ball moving.

I'm starting to realise that maybe he is our most important player. He holds EVERYTHING together... on his own sometimes. What a beast.
