Player topic: Frank Lampard (2014/15)

With his champions league pedigree I would have had him as the first name on the team sheet against Barca. I find it odd that he hasn't been used much more. In fact, I find a lot of the stuff coming from Pellegrini at the moment odd.

As far as I can see the seasons only success story and now lucky if he gets 10 minutes . I imagine New York can't come quick enough now. Results were good when he was given playing time.

Don't like to criticise our finest but since he has returned from injury has hardly controlled a ball, hardly passed the ball, hardly chased down defenders in possession and he missed at least two sitters against Liverpool. By his standards a disappointment. It happens after injury but people have let it go whereas they have slated Kompany so much in the same circumstances that his confidence is f*cked.

Thought he played well today, although helped by the red card. His movement is something our analysts at CFG should be studying and teaching our kids across the world.

That's not what the new York fans are saying tho !

They will.

Maybe not use him as the case study for the CFG Contracts 101 course though. ;)

I thought we kept him to cover for yaya but as we didn't use him i would say it was a waste of time for all concerned
We arguably wouldnt have beat Leicester or got a point v chelsea without him so he's hardly a waste of time is he? plus he's added experience, been a good communicator on the pitch and has been overall pretty good considering his age when he's ever been given game time

The context of my quote was keeping him post new year not about having him here at all
