Player topic: Jesus Navas (2014/15)

He was fucking awful.

People are so easy on him compared to some of the stick other players get.

He was as good as a man down today and there was no bad luck in his failure to score - it's called being shit.
Fuck off

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

He played well and was diligent with his defensive duties although the case remains for a player with such pace he never seems to knock the ball ahead and just burn fullbacks to get a cross in. I understand not always doing this, but he rarely even seems to attempt it, he's still a good player and we are a better squad with him, its just fustrating that we know he could do it. Is this a coaching thing though? Did he used to outpace people back at Sevilla like we want him to? Just a thought, either way he did well.

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

I agree with the WUM, i thought he was awful in the attacking sense. The number of times he took the ball and ran forward only to stop when in a crossing position to turn back on himself; he was more effective at breaking up our attacks than the bloody rags!

He is pretty much a one trick pony but when his trick deserts him then he's just a pony.

9 times out of 10 there's no end product with him, i find myself getting very frustrated with the number of opportunities he has to do something and the number of opportunities he then ends up wasting. Shame, because with his blistering pace he could have been great but as it stands, he'll never be a first team regular

Awful today. Absolutely awful, like playing with a man down. His end product is on par with my five year old Nephew's.

Anyone kidding themselves that he is anything above a run of the mill, average premier league player is kidding themselves.

Shocking player for the money we spent on him. I can't recall a football player so reluctant (allergic in his case) to using his only attribute - pace.

Couldn't believe it when he stayed on during the second half subs.

Diabolical

You sir are what I would describe as a delusional blind bellend, today was the best I have seen Jesus play for some time and he was back to trying to beat the full back round the outside.

That seems fair enough to me !
