Player Topic: Jesus Navas (2015/16)

He's not a young kid but an experienced player and Spanish international. No excuse for no end product - it overshadows all his hard work
 
Don't know why folks pick on Navas. He is what he is, nothing more. We all know that. He played at his level today. If anything focus on those who failed to play to their level.

That makes no sense. People keep saying that cos he gets into good areas or he tracked back then it means he doesn't deserve the criticism he gets. He's a winger his job is to either put in crosses or score goals or at the very least take on players and force them into a foul. He does none of that. His pace allows him to get into good areas and then he either smashes a cross that goes out for a throw in or hits the first man. When he should run down the wing he cuts inside and when he should cut inside he runs down the wing. And lets not get started on his form in front of goal. The game is about scoring goals ultimately and he offers us nothing which helps us get goals. Frankly he needs to be benched and only used as a sub at the end of the game.

It was a case of needs must today mate. We all know he would've been on the bench if Silva didn't get injured. Infact if we ever have a fully fit squad, he may drop out of the eighteen altogether.

What? He was on the bench & only started because Silva got injured, on top of Nasri being injured.

Options:
• Play Navas on the right, in the formation that's won 5 on the bounce.
• Play Bony in a 4-4-2, a formation that we lost 6 out of 8 in.
• Play a youth player, Roberts most likely, whose totally unproven at this level.

Everyone, including Pellegrini, knows he's our weak link - we bought KDB for that as shown by the original line up. He's only starting because we have so many injuries.
