His distribution has been pretty good on the whole this season. It's completely over egged now this 'flaw'. It was fine yesterday, easy quick throw outs for the most and hit Bony with a lot of kicks.

The difference? Sagna always makes himself available for the short option whereas Zabaleta doesn't. Bony will win more than Sergio, Silva et al when be plays and let's face it; Edin didn't really put a battle in for a long ball all too often.

Distribution is partly down to the team and options a keeper has available each time he has the ball. Because there are a few goalkeepers like Neuer about who now act as that "fifth defender" everyone thinks that's what every keeper should be doing

And fucking hell Lloris over Hart, are people still posting that comedy!?

You really couldn't fucking make it up.

The criticism of Hart in the media is what really winds me up. The guy is consistently excellent and has saved games or ensured points for us on innumerable occasions, yet is always painted in an inferior light to De Gea, Cech or Courtois.

One mistake (admittedly a clanger) against Norwich and the journos are frothing at the mouth about Butland being the new England 'keeper.

Some of the plebs ringing in to GMR on Saturday was a joke, I even rang in for a rant against the ranters and lost my phone in verginity ha! Give the guy a break ffs, wins us more points than he loses his and his passion at Yayas pen and whenever we score is fantastic to see

Indeed - I will never forget him careering around the penalty area like a dog on heat when the Aguero goal went in. Top lad, Joe.

Neuer is better than everyone, he's like the Messi of goalkeeping. He's the only one I'd take over Joe.

Below that you have a lot of goalkeepers at a very similar level that go through different patches of form where they look better than each other. Hart, De Gea, Cech, Courtois, Buffon, Lloris. There's not much in it although De Gea has probably edged it over the last year.

I agree. At least Joe is now comparable with Neuer. During the last World Cup it appeared that Neuer was on another planet to Joe!

Every goalkeeper makes mistakes, even the likes of Neuer. It's how they recover from their mistakes that marks them out as world class. Joe's save to stop a certain Norwich second said it all.

Neuer makes mistakes, as do all goalkeepers. People rate Neuer so highly because of the way the sweeper role he plays. He still makes mistakes and he's also in a side that keep the ball so well his job is quite clear and obvious. Any ball over the top he generally knows he has to clear. He's a top keeper and you have to say he's the best in the world at the moment but he still makes the occasional error. Hart has kept us in so many games. His save late on made up for the earlier cock up. Fortunately we got away with this one, but he has kept us in games, and won us games before and he's a great role model to have at the club being England's no.1 keeper.
