If you're going to punch then you have to get distance on it.

He may have thought he might have done better, but the amount of saves he has made over the years he deserves an odd one. Yesterday we could have been two down as against Newcastle. Top quality keeper who despite being exposed by the defence week after week saves us again and again. If all our players played with the commitment, dedication and professionalism of Joe we would be well clear at the top of the league by now.

Len Rum you should be called Red Rum with your summing up of Joe Hart,as the horse would do a better job. I was right behind the goal when Gomez scored that and I thought at first it was a tight angle to get it in from.If you study some other pictures of it and angles he is actually a bit more square on than i thought. It was an absolute rocket and in those conditions almost unstoppable.Without Hart's saves we would have been 1-3 down before that anyway.

Yeah, ok so he's not allowed to make a mistake? I think most guys on this forum understand that he's saved us time and time again and did so yesterday and I think he even got man of the match so I think you could give him some slack on one punch in difficult conditions for a keeper.

Reading this thread for the first time in a while. There's a glaringly obvious case of someone commiting far too much to one side of an argument, that they look for every possible chance to criticise and end up coming across daft.

Hart has really established himself as the brilliant goalkeeper we all knew he'd become. Congrats on the Golden glove and UEFA team of the year nomination big man.
