The guy's class and every time he makes a mistake, he comes back stronger for it. That's the sign of a top class player. Before yesterday, I can't remember the last time he dropped a clanger, so I think I can forgive him one.

A couple of mistakes a season is more than acceptable for what Joe does for the team, some fans need to give there head a wobble, it's not the end of the title just because he makes one mistake, I for one am grateful we have him. That is all carry on.

Interesting listening to Kasper and Gomez on Goals on Sunday, new ball very slippy harder to catch, English mentality to catch the ball from crosses Gomez says safer to punch on a lot of occassions

Pantillimon does not look a world beater at Sunderland, he's made more errors leading to goals this season than joe has in the last 3.

I don't know what people are expecting from the lad, IMO he's surpassed joe corrigan who even at his best was prone to the odd error.

It was a strange one for sure, and I've watched it loads of times and the ball appears to bounce off his wrists/forearms. Maybe it dipped at the last moment? I for one won't be hammering him for it, luckily it didn't cost us, and he has been one of our most consistent performers for a long time now.

Shouldn't think any of that will cut any ice with our resident Joe haters, eh Len?

The ball did have some bend on it & which probably suprised Joe, but it still should have been bread & butter for him.
Saying that I think Joe has improved his game a lot since Pelegrini dropped him & is having his best season so far.
I wouldn't swap him for any other goalkeeper.

He's been very much on top of his game this season: back to almost his 2011-12 peak. All keepers make a couple of mistakes a season. I think we can cut him a bit of slack for this one.

I have played with it. The genuine article and trust me it is shocking. Incredibly light and the colours drive you mad. I am amazed that they passed it to be honest. Very easy to lift it as it is like a 50p flyaway from back in the day.

But he doesn't "save us so many times", we're not the type of side that relies on our goalkeeper "saving us".
He does make some good saves, but then again what goalkeeper doesn't? In Joe's case one of his strengths is that he often doesn't have a lot to do but is able to maintain his concentration and still pull off a good save.
On the other side of the coin that's why Pants looks a world beater at Sunderland , he's kept busy all the time, but struggled here because he had so little to do.
