if thats the case no young player will ever play for us. players like sterling, kane, stones would be in our reserve team because they when they first got games they weren't as good as players like aguero or kompnay. theres comes a point where they need to be given a chance and are able to develop into top players. Nacho has scored and assisted despite barely getting any game time, surely he's better than bony.

its like your saying well he's not as good as aguero ( nobody is) so theres not really much point ?

Kane only became a regular for Spurs at 21, Stones at Everton at 20. There aren't many players under these ages playing regularly at the top end of the PL. I don't see any desperate need to rush our talented youngsters into the first team. A loan to get experience or few minutes here and there and the odd cup game should be enough to keep them interested while we see how they adapt to it. But the time they hit 20/21, we should have a better idea of who will make it with us.

The club are doing the right think with Nacho giving him bit parts in the game. Feel he will get a run out in either 1 of the games if not both games in the cups. Also I think he might well get a goal in either of those games. If he is given a proper run out.
Well Bony's out tomorrow so his odds just went up.

Edit: or possibly down (odds confuse me)

Really fear he will go unless we offer him some real game time. We let Denis Suarez leave and I think that will bite us later on. Here's a recent article on Denis:

He will be one of the best in the world," said Eusebio - former Barcelona youth coach - of the midfielder.
He came to Barcelona after having doubts over his chance of making the first team at Manchester City. They didn't need what he offered and was nowhere near ready enough physically for the Premier League.

He debuted under Roberto Mancini, but answered the call of Barcelona. His career sine has been marked by uncertainty over his position. He's an attacking midfielder, a No 10, but he has been used in teams where this position does not feature. At Barcelona B he played in a 4-3-3.

"I'm a 'mediapunta', and this position doensn't exist in Barcelona's 4-3-3, and I should adapt to the side and make diagonal balls. Bit by bit I'm learning how it works," he said in 2013-14. He scored seven goals and got 11 assists in 36 games with the youth team.

The great challenge for Denis will be defensive work. He has not always been picked by his coaches, and admitted: "Emery asked me to move between the lines and strengthen defensively. Now I'm better in clashes." He could play as a 10 at Sevilla, but didn't play a huge number of games.

He eventually featured 46 times, with six goals and five assists. "He's a good kid, but a little unstable. He said that elsewhere he would get more minutes. if he doesn't want to be here it's hard to keep him," explained Emery. At Villarreal he has taken a step forward in a new position.

"Similar to Cazorla and Cani in a few ways," said Marcelino, of Suarez. In an interior in a 4-4-2, he must work a lot harder than at Sevilla, full of running up and down, and a lot of build-up play, as well as defensive effort. He has three goals and seven assists in 19 games with the Yellow Submarine.

Luis Enrique is happy with the signing. "He'll be a good option". The coach wants help in what remains of the season. He can play as an interior but also double up in any of the attacking positions, a two-for-one for the coach. He played some games there, including as a false nine, at youth leel, and Lucho needs some back-up there to help rest his stars, like Neymar.

If the transfer goes through, Lucho will find himself with a footballer who has matured, familiar with different styles and positions. Robert Fernandez has followed his evolution closely.

Barcelona let him sign for Villarreal, reserving a re-buy option in the summer for €3m and €6m the summer after that. There's no clause to get him in January, but they need to negotiate a new sum with his side. The sealing of the deal depends on Villarreal finding a new transfer target instead of Denis Cheryshev. Real Madrid do not want to sell him.

You're either a comic genius or a medium to the spirit world
He's been dead for exactly two years so what would he know about Suarez's ability

I'd get back to the Caf if I were you and ask them why on earth hasn't Pep announced where he's going, after all he owes it to the fans

I was just looking at the Barca forum and thought it would be an interesting read about a former player of ours. Funny to see you jumping to the whole 'you're a Rag' defence the second somebody has a slightly opposing or different view on matters.

It's not just about playing regularly though, it's playing at all. The exceptional early developer players break through, the others have a go, loan out, come back & have another go, maybe loan out again, maybe come back & have another go. Then stay or leave depending.

Our exeptional players often miss the crucial part, of playing so e first team football before being sent away. Then don't get a chance when they finish the loan either.

Dennis Suarez would have struggled to get in our EDS team if he'd arrived a year later, yet has come through elsewhere. Rony Lopes was way better and has gone. Kelechi is on a different planet.

It needs to change, quickly, or we are wasting players' careers & hampering their development. I wouldn't be starting Kelechi personally at this time, but I'd use him pretty much every game.

Suarez vs Real Madrid.

A blessing in disguise that Bony is out most would think. Just hope if Kun plays he doesnt pick up any knocks. I think Nacho will get a good run out tomorrow.

Didn't Iheanacho leave for U20 WC already though?
