How a one season wonder was PL proven? His performances in first half of the second season weren't exactly flattering. He was equipped to fit into a passing attack? Does that mean we thought he was suited to possession-based football? He was nothing more than a target man, helped by a very hard working side that moved the ball very wall.

At the start of the season I posted on the EDS Forum that given enough chances Kelechi will outshine Bony this season and would probably score at least 20 goals. Bony was never good enough for us and frankly our scouting has been piss poor.
Hi Sam663 ... I wasn't trying to defend the player, just the club. Buying lesser teams' best players has been a well trod path for player acquisition both here and in europe. It didn't work in this case but, if I remember correctly, the team needed goals at the time so here we are.

Was he a 'one season wonder'? I can't say because, even though I watched a lot of Swansea when Laudrup (What a footballer he was! If ever there was a past 'great' to compare KDB to, it's him) was manager, I didn't watch every minute, nor have I seen anything of his time at Vitesse. That being said at Swansea he did have things to his game to like, like an excellent first touch, decent link up play and a thunderbolt of a shot. He just isn't going to work out for us or him. Hopefully the £20 mil offers being bandied about are legit because he's gone and Swansea, at least, are desperate enough.

Back to Kelechi ... maybe I am reading too much into it but his body language at Norwich looked more mature and less the gangly teenager trying to impress we saw in the summer tour. Hopefully we continue to manage his development into a top pro.

Love Kelechi and his style of play. In my opinion he has sprinkle of Sturridge, with his sweet left foot, technique and goal scoring ability, but with an almost Tevez-like determination.

I think his attributes could see him really go on to become something special.

It's been interesting to follow his development in competitive football and, starting last year, he completely stood out in the EDS and 18s. For me, it was his goal against Utd for the EDS that really earmarked him for greater things.

He's then improved nearly every game and made a telling contribution, either with an assist or goal. He's going to be a big game player.

His performances in the first half of the second season saw him maintain his scoring rate of 1 in 2.

For me he should be ahead of Bony in the pecking order.
He is the real deal.
People comparing him to Sturrige but he reminds me more of Samuel Eto' because of his technical ability.
Should be a good fit for a Pep team!

Keeper

Sagna Komp Otamendi Clichy

Navas/KDB Delph Dinho Sterling

Nacho

Aguero

Would be my strongest 11 right now.
You say right now but Kompany's injured, if he can still make a strongest XI I don't see why Silva doesn't tbf.

As of right now perhaps will Silva off the boil, but then surely Kompany can't be in there.
