Was going to post exactly this, he looks an incredible talent, really hope he starts on Monday.

For the regular EDS watchers, how does he compare with Sturridge in terms of quality with at a similar age?
The only similarities that they do have is they're both left footed, and they're both black. Sturridge is a lot faster and more direct, while Kelechi is more cerebral and calculated.

Thanks for that mate, but I was more interested in how good they look at this stage of their development. How likely they look to forge a career in the top flight, as opposed to what attributes or skin colour they have.

OK my bad lol. But IMO Kelechi is more than ready to forge a career in the top flight, has the swagger/arrogance and just bags of confidence, he's not the type to be stage frieight.

As a Nigerian, I'd have preferred it if he was loaned out to a team either in Holland in France, where he can truly express himself and get maximum PT, but If there's an 18 year old who can do it in City, he's the one.

Lol, no worries mate. I've been really excited about Kelechi since I first saw him play. He has supreme confidence, and supreme talent to go with it. I know some of the senior players have said he's the most talented kid they have ever seen, so his potential is huge.

I remember Sturridge being hugely hyped before he broke in to the first team, people were raving about him. He also had supreme confidence, and I was absolutely gutted when Mark Hughes didn't give him a contract because I knew he'd make it in the top flight.

I've actually seen more of Kelechi than I had of Sturridge at the same age, and I think Kelechi looks an incredible prospect. I was just interested in how others compared Sturridge's quality in comparison as he has obviously gone on to be a top player at a young age.

I understand why you would want to see him play regularly in Holland, but I think you'll be surprised how many games he plays for City. The 4 lads I am going to the game with on Monday all want him to start.

Sterling?

Or Sturridge?

Hope he can integrate himself into premier league football quickly as he may be starting on Monday. Looked in his element combining with Silva and Sterling in pre-season, hope that continues. Looks closer to a second striker for me, a balance between Kun and Silva in a positional sense, long way to go in turning that potential to talent, looks like he has the attitude and attributes to do so however.

He might start at a striker, but as we saw in the pre-season games, he's floating around a lot. When Iheanacho seemed to be further back, Sterling seemed to take notice of this, and stay up front.
