So? The team looked better than it had for a while, the wingers played like wingers, the midfield had energy and we were defensively sound. The two strikers played fantastically.

At least it's a solid base to build from. If necessary bring on more creativity in Yaya, Silva or KDB.

Better than our current formula of playing shot from the beginning, conceding and then making substitutions to try and rescue the game.

I think its just hard to imagine playing without kdb/silva/yaya, as they are 3 of the 5 best players in the league IMO

No disrespect to Norwich but I think Everton has more dynamic midfielders that are capable of running circles round Yaya.
My entire premise of argument stands on if Yaya starts! If he doesnt, I would be very happy to play Delph and Fernando in a 4-4-2. Just to remind Yaya didnt play on Sat. The whole equation changes when Yaya needs to be included, I still believe he is our best connection from Defence to Attack.

I will be happy to be proven wrong but only if we win :)

Toure in a midfield 2 with no one in front of him? Silva & KdB as wingers? Seems horrible to me, we've tried it recently & it's been awful. No width, no tracking back & no cover for CB's or FB's. Doesn't work for me - surprised people would want this after recent showings with similar formations to that.

Also Kompany is out, so you need to replace him with MDM in your suggestion; making it even less feasible as he needs far more cover.

Exactly my Point! But I feel Yaya is out best passer from Def to Attack, I think he should start.

Individually yes, but they aren't compatible or conducive to a balanced team.

I agree. I honestly think de bruyne is yayas natural replacement in terms of a midfielder who controls the game, great passer, scores loads of goals. Plus hes faster, two footed, and still young enough to improve
