The kid is not a big celebrater, he just claps his hands once if he scores and that's it. He is also very hard for himself and for his teammates, that's another reason why he doesn't look happy if he scores a winner. He is already thinking about the things he can do better next game, that's just how he is.
Is that you Kev?

It's cringeworthy isn't it mate? It's like seeing spoiled kids with a new toy. David Silva is arguably the clubs greatest ever player. He's been the most talented player in the league for the last 5 years. Kevin De Bruyne has played 7 games for us.
Hard to fathom. It really is. Why anyone would even want to pass judgement at such an early stage. Like you say, Silva is one of a pretty select bunch of greats this club has ever had. KDB looks like he could well be...but really, after 7 games, do city fans really think he's better than Silva?!?! The mind boggles.

I think it's actually pretty disrespectful to David Silva to even mention De Bruyne in the same conversation at this stage.

The guy has got huge potential, he's already scored some terrific goals for us. But I can't even remember him having one great game over 90 minutes for us yet! And people are saying he's better than the club's greatest ever player?! I just don't know what some people are smoking on here!

I might take shit for this. But is it sacrilegious to suggest he's already better than Aguero and Silva?

Love those guys to death, but KDB can do almost everything they can do and most importantly is healthy.

Yes, sacrilegious is a good word for it.

I guess absence makes the brain grow duller.

Prior to being targeted (for good reason) and hacked off the pitch, Silvas performances had possibly tipped the balance in the eyes of many as making him the greatest ever Man CIty player. That's greatest ever, in over 120 years.

A couple of good, maybe even great performances later and it's now de Bruyne.

I'm actually stunned at people thinking this, as you can probably tell?

Silva, however great his vision and control, has two massive weaknesses: his health and his finishing. And Aguero is nowhere near the playmaker KDB has become.

It isn't hype or dull brains, his stats indicate a better overall game than either. He is a producer of both goals and assists, and he is carrying us.

Different players, different positions and different attributes.

Celebrate us having them rather than arguing about who is better.

David has been top shelf for a good number of years, Internationally as well as domestically. Let's hope, and it certainly has started off very promising, that KDB continues as he has started. Compare them when they've both finished playing and hopefully they'll both have achieved everything they want with us.

De Bruyne just needs to work on his decision making in our own half. He likes to play direct which is great when you're attacking, but he just needs to learn to play it safe when we're trying to play out of danger. I've seen a few times where he gets the ball inside our own 18 yard box and he nonchalantly passes the ball back to someone. Hopefully he can work on it. No complaints otherwise.

Sorry, didn't mean it as a put down of Aguero and Silva. It took me 9 games to admit it because Kun and Silva are my favorite players.

KDB, skill wise, is top 5 in the world. Just IMHO. It was obvious from his first game as a City player. The way he strikes the ball is just amazing.
