Thought it was too late in the window to sign worldlcass players?

CIty might very well walk the league this year. You have to give it to them though, they are signing the right players.
This are players that will be their core for the next 5-7 years..fantastic signings..damn this sucks

Thanks Don; the one I was thinking about wasn't in there but there are still a couple of crackers that I had not seen so thanks again. The one I am looking for is him receiving a pass on the left wing around halfway and just cutting inside and unleashing a bloody rocket into the top corner. Can't find it anywhere - wish I could remember who it was against but I think it was for Wolfsburg anyway as he was in green. Although I think that Werder also play in green...

Was about to post the same sentiments.
He comes across as a well spoken laid back lad.

I urge everyone to be patient with him however as I just don't feel he will be an instant success.
Hey if he is then great and I'll eat my words but I just feel he's more of a long term signing... He'll play the Navas role in our current system short term (good) but long term if he builds his upper body strength he may end up playing a more central playmaker role.

Exciting times. feel so privileged being able to watch such a good City side.

In De Bruyne's interview he basically said he would have preferred the squad number 14.

Since we've been courting him for so long I'm surprised noone had a quiet word to Bony and offered him the #9 shirt. Bony doesn't seem to have a particular attachment to #14 (he has been #10 for Swansea and #12 for the National Team in the past) and #9 has a special significance for strikers so I would have thought he'd be happy to have that honour. I wonder if we'll see a switch in 2016-17.

I wonder if there are any ITK's regarding this? Was Bony ever offered #10 to free up #14? Was he offered and rejected the change?

The ITKs on here reckoned Bony was due to change to 9 but backed out at the last minute.... Thinking back, freeing up 14 might well have given Wolfsburg and Allofs extra leverage to take the piss, and it might have looked slightly arrogant on our part so I think that could be why Bony kept 14 in the end.

I think the third word should be 'football' not 'City'. Once you change that, the whole post makes perfect sense.
