About his penalty, Hazard rarely misses a penalty. But because of his style of penalty, a miss will always look like a disgrace.

I like KDB as well, but the Hazard-bashing in Belgium is a disgrace.

He was fairly poor to be fair, Belgium didn't play great in general, but Mertens looked far more dangerous on the right which is where the vast majority of attacks seemed to be from. Don't remember Hazard causing Andorra much trouble from open play.

He was fairly poor to be fair, Belgium didn't play great in general, but Mertens looked far more dangerous on the right which is where the vast majority of attacks seemed to be from. Don't remember Hazard causing Andorra much trouble from open play.

He created the freekick for KDB's goal with a run past 2-3 players if I'm not mistaken. In the second half he created a few chances, for example one for KDB from the left, before being subbed.

Hazard will never be "good enough" in the national team. In the WC qualifiying he decided multiple games (fe twice against Macedonia). In Brasil he was decisive against Algeria (assisting Mertens) and Russia (very important assist for Origi) and he was good against the USA creating multiple chances (that were sadly missed). Yet, everyone said he wasn't good enough.

When a player who was Best Young Player and Best Player in France and Best Player in the Premier League "always seems to suck" in the national team, maybe the problem isn't the player himself. Perception in Belgium of Hazard is completely wrong.

That's his perception, but Hazard is not arrogant or complacent. Read all of his interviews, he's one of the most down-to-earth world class footballers there is. Everyone who's ever worked with him will confirm he's a really likeable person.
