There are none so blind as those who wont see
As the original 2015/16 thread is closed....

What a load of rubbish, total and utter waste of a shirt today.

Not blaming him for the failure to score, but Pelligrini for choosing him.

Do all you Navas worshippers now see what I've been seeing for the last two seasons? He is absolutely clueless and useless. A waste of a team place, why oh why does Pellegrini keep picking him? Has it anything to do with him keeping his word? It certainly isn't because he adds any value to the team!

Has there ever been a player in the Premier League who's inability to actually get a cross into the box been so obvious? He has the ball with the full back five yards away, so does he cross? No he goes right up to the defender, attempts to then skip past him then gets his cross blocked for a corner (which he then wastes).

Was looking really good before his injury v sunderland- since he's been back it's been the same old frustrating Navas.

Best from the bench and he must have a bet on with AK as to how many defenders legs they can both hit this season.

I love his industry and desire but he flatters to deceive im afraid.

He is fast and that's about where it stops with him. No end product. Can't cross the ball without it hitting the first man and his key move seems to be run down the line, turn back and pass it to Sagna. And don't get me started on his embarrassing goal scoring record of 89 games - 4 goals.

I believe I was the only one in the pregame thread who didn't have him in his starting lineup, but as usual, people don't think he should start after the fact.

I never gave a starting line up as such, but after the team was announced and before the game kicked off I did question why he and Bony were picked ahead of Sterling and Ihenacho....

He needs to play for a side like Swansea or Southampton, he's not good enough to play for City.

As opposed to the great crosses coming in from the left? He didn't play well but nor did any of our attacking players and he was good against Villa so I can see why he started.

The problem is we rarely have anyone other than Aguero in the box (and 6 or 7 opposition players) and so not much point in just putting the ball into the box first time.

Frankly based on what transpired I'd have pulled Silva for Iheanacho.

Sagna..komps..Ota..Clichy
Dihno..Garcia..Nando..Sterling
..................Silva
,,....................Aguero

That was my lineup on the pregame. Hindsight, I should have gone with Nacho instead of Silva.

Maybe Pellegrini ins't so bad after all ;-)
